Rare Antique 1920s French Gothic Medieval Slip Shade Light Fixture Chandelier Restored Rewired

Incredibly rare Gothic slip shade light fixture, completely original! Fixture is dark brass with polychrome colors on the shield and fleur delis finial on the bottom, and floral trim around the edges of the slip shades. Shades have perfect glass panels with etched "panes". Fixture also boasts acorn and acanthus leaves. This fixture has no flaws that I can find with the exception of the small knobs and sockets that probably held the shades more securely at one time, at this point one has a small piece of metal missing at the bottom that allows the shade to hold to the knob inside the socket holder, and the other has a small hole that fits inside the knob. They also hold when there is a bulb inserted so there is no worry about losing a shade, they hold firmly once inserted. This is all pictured, in full disclosure. Other than this, it's in incredible condition. It has been rewired with new sockets. New old stock cloth wiring is used from the loop on top to the canopy in keeping with the time period. Sockets will take 60 watt bulbs each, so this can put out 120 watts if needed, or more using LED bulbs. Would be very cool with flicker bulbs! Fixture measures 24" with drop and 16.5" across from shade to shade. Includes all mounting hardware, ready to install when received. Our items come from antique stores and auctions, many times we do not know the origin of our lights so some parts may be contemporary while some parts are very antique. Beautiful addition to your art deco remodeling project!
